Detailed Description
Rafting in the Voidomatis River is an absolute “must-have” experience for anyone visiting Zagori. Flowing through the heart of the Vikos-Aoos National Park, it is officially recognized as one of the cleanest rivers in Europe. This gentle WW II Class descent requires no previous experience, making it the ideal choice for families with small children and beginners.
The adventure begins at the Aristi Bridge. As you slide through the crystal-clear (and refreshing) waters, you will be surrounded by ancient oriental plane trees and a landscape that served as a hunter’s settlement at the end of the Ice Age. The route is rich with history, passing by silent monasteries and under the famous Kleidonia Bridge, a stone masterpiece rebuilt in 1853.
The journey concludes with a fun splash as we pass through an artificial dam that creates a small, exciting waterfall. Our base is located just meters from the exit point, where Alpine Zone staff will be waiting with traditional baklava, water, and full access to our changing rooms and showers.

- Personal Technical Equipment: Neoprene suits, shoes, paddles, helmets, life jackets, windproof waterproof jackets, gloves, and fleece in winter. All of our equipment is sanitized after each use.
- Certified rafting guides. The World Rafting Federation (WRF) certifies our rafting guides, and TÜV Austria-Hellas guarantees the quality of our services.
- Local transfers to and from the activity's start and finish points.
- Changing rooms available for clients after the activity.
- After the end of the trip, we provide snacks and cold water.
